Episode 15

04.11.2023 Job 7.5 Skin

The integumentary system is a first line of defense barrier to our external environment. It protects us from many pathogens and ultraviolet rays. It adapts to imposed demands.

“My flesh is clothed with worms and dirt; my skin hardens, then breaks out afresh” (ESV Bible, 2001, Job 7:5).

Our skin is also hardened, so to speak, when we develop a rigid mentality. We, as men, often struggle with perfectionism. We often struggle dealing with the stresses of life. We often find ourselves caught up in the hustle promoted around us. We must, however, understand that more is less and less is more. Our productivity requires a homeostasis, just as our integumentary system and all other systems of the body require balance.

So there you have it, another example of something Biblical represented in our anatomy; another example of God’s powerful design. We pray that our message today has encouraged you and that you will seek the Bible more fervently than ever. Blessing to you our brothers and sisters.

Stress is not the goal, be well.
